I absolutely love helping a writer polish his or her work to a beautiful sheen. I don’t want to change your voice—I want to make it shine. Edits will be done using Microsoft Word Track Changes. You will have the ability to review all changes before accepting or rejecting my suggestions. I’ll be looking for improvements in content flow, grammar, and usage. And I’ll be looking for what works beautifully—and will make sure to express that to you, as well!
As a writer, I know it can be nerve-wracking to have someone looking at your work with a critical eye. I view an editor’s role as a means of being of service to a writer. I approach editing with compassion, and set out to nurture your story, helping your voice rise up from the page the way you intended.
Focus on Chicago Manual of Style.

Have a polished manuscript that simply needs an eagle eye for those pesky errors? My Work Philosophy
I’m a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association. I pride myself on quality work with efficient turnaround time. I’ve been told I’m a pleasure to work with. I’m easygoing, light on the ego, and get the job done. I view editing work as a collaborative and giving relationship.
Fees are based on the scope of the project. I can give an accurate estimate once I’ve assessed the level of editing required. For manuscripts, I will do a 1,000-word free pass. This will give you an idea of my style and whether or not you think I would be a good fit, and allows me to arrive at an accurate quote. You can find helpful market standards, published by the Editorial Freelancers Association, here.
